Together for Short Lives can claim back the tax paid on your donation, at no extra cost to you, which means we can do more for your money. In each tax year you need to pay enough income tax or capital gains tax to cover the amount we will be claiming back from the Inland Revenue.
Tax claimed by Together for Short Lives:
- Together for Short Lives will reclaim 28p of tax on every £1 you gave up to 5 April 2008
- Together for Short Lives will reclaim 25p of tax on every £1 you give on or after 6 April 2008
- The Government will pay to Together for Short Lives an additional 3p on every £1 you give between 6 April 2008 and 5 April 2011. This transitional relief does not affect your personal tax position.
